In April 2020, the renovation project of National Highway G337 from Qikou to Nandagang officially started, undertaken by China Overseas Transportation Construction Co., Ltd. Guanxian Luyi Transportation Facilities successfully won the bidding for the three-wave steel guardrail procurement of the L3 contract section, providing core safety protection facilities for the national highway reconstruction and expansion project and promoting the upgrading of regional trunk road traffic capacity.
National Highway G337 features heavy traffic flow and numerous heavy-duty trucks, requiring extremely high standards for guardrail structural strength, impact resistance and durability. In view of the high-loss working conditions of trunk highways, Luyi optimizes the production process pertinently by thickening the base plate of guardrails to enhance bending resistance and impact resistance. Meanwhile, the company strictly controls the whole hot-dip galvanizing process to resist corrosion and wear caused by rain, dust and long-term vehicle impact, ensuring long-term road traffic safety.
